Loss In Weight System

The loss-in-weight unit is a fully electronic weighing system, which is specially designed for continuous mixing of powders and liquids.

The functional principle for a LIW system – is through repeated static weighing – to determine a mass flow from a bin

The weigh bin is slowly emptied, and the loss-in-weight per time unit gives the amount signal, which controls the dosing speed to the desired value.

The weight control unit Jesma WC9604 continuously updates the proportion between the requested dosing and the actually dosed amount. When the bin is almost empty, it switches to the trend table and the current stated values for the relation between screw rotation and weight loss is used for calculating the amount dosed during refilling of the weight bin. When the weigh bin once again is almost filled it switches back to normal operation.

The principle makes a very accurate dosing and a very accurate regulation of the mass flow possible.
